James A. Hooven is the vice president of the Hillenbrand Operating Model (HOM) for Hillenbrand, a global diversified industrial company headquartered in Batesville, Indiana.
In this role, Mr. Hooven is responsible for the expansion, application, training and use of the operating model across the enterprise. He works closely with operating company leadership to drive improved results and leverages the HOM to lead the focus on continuous improvement culture, lean business strategies and segmentation management practices.
Mr. Hooven has over 20 years of experience with diversified industrial manufacturing companies. He most recently served as general manager of the MTI Torque Systems division of Handy & Hartman. Prior to that, he served as vice president of operational excellence at SL Industries Incorporated (purchased by Handy & Harman in 2016) and served in various roles within Danaher Corporation and Trane Company from 1997 - 2010.
Mr. Hooven received his MBA from Rider University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in international business from Johnson & Wales University. He works remotely and resides in Concord, Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
